STARTER LEVEL INTENSIVE COURSE (A)

Who is it for?

From our experience we find that some students are currently living in Japan having learned a few structures of the Japanese language, however they tend to have difficulty in actual usage in everyday situations. As we carefully tailor the course according to what each student has already studied, we can ensure that the structures are used correctly and fluently in the appropriate manner.

*This course is for everyone, whether you can read 'kana' or not, - a communicative course.

Ideal for short-term visitors to Japan, wishing to learn as much of the language as possible whilst they are here as a tourist, on business or any other reason.

How will it help me?

The practice of this 'already known' language combined with new structures, vocabulary and grammar ensures students feel comfortable taking this language out of the classroom into the real world to be able to communicate their true intentions and opinions.

*By widening the students' linguistic field it is hoped that they can be proficient in a greater number of situations allowing more genuine communication.

What will I do in the course?

During the course, there is time dedicated to the grammatical structures of Japanese sentences (i.e. usage of particles, verbs and adjectives) and then we move on to practice making original sentences in order to be able to talk about our own lives.

*At the same time, we set up a variety of situations (i.e. restaurant, shopping, post office etc) and learn useful expressions and phrases in a practical way.

For private intensive lessons, you may take as many lessons as your schedule allows, please mail us and let us know approx. how many hours you may have available to study and the period of time you are in Nagoya. We will then send you a possible schedule and price.

OPTIONAL EXTENSION COURSE (B)

An optional course for those who successfully complete STARTER COURSE A.

Less intensive, once a week (FRIDAYS) to build on the knowledge learned in COURSE A.
This is an ideal opportunity to continue and support your learning with the intention of promoting more fluency, more complex structures and more vocabulary. We may also include students’ own personal interests to build on for more satisfying communication.
